Perfect Modals



 
馃憖The modal perfects express intentions of the speaker such as certainty such as certainty, probability regret, among others, but referring to past actions. 

Examples:
  1. I should have come to the English lesson. They had a fantastic time.
  2. They must have had an accident. They are always on time.
  3. You could have come to the party. I invited you.

CONVERSATION MODEL

A: I should have gone to the beach
B: why do you say that?
A: I saw the pictures; I could have enjoyed the beach. 
B: I could have been, well, you could have been happy. 
A: Sure.
